Skeletons In My Closet
I am so embarrassed! I need closet organization BAD. My closet is packed with crap. The bad this is that when I was younger I was an organized freak. I sorted and kept everything in its place. After about my third kid, everything went down hill. Things started getting cluttered. To clean out the clutter I get into spurts where I just throw everything away. And I mean everything. Even furniture. But, my closet has been my weakness. I use to limit myself to 30 pairs of shoes. I like to keep them in the boxed they came in. Then I got lazy and they all end up on the small floor of my closet
Here in the south we do not put away our summer clothes. Winter is too short for that. This leaves my clothes racks packed. I have issues with hanging ALL clothes that will stay on a hanger. I have 3 racks in my closet. One on the top right side and one on the bottom right side. Then one on the left side. I keep my clothes separated by hanging my pants and skirts on the top rack on the right side. All suit jackets and regular jackets on the bottom right side. Then I keep all my skirts and dresses on the left side.
Then the shelves are packed. They are packed with all kinds of crap. I have a box of wall pictures that I no longer keep on the wall but don’t want to put in the attic. I also have lots books on the shelves. Every kind of book you can think of– including cook books, reference books, and just plain old books.
I really probably just need to throw alot of it away. I need real help here. I need ideas, tools, and whatever else others can lend me to help get this closet under control. Anyone have ideas or tips that can help me in getting this organized?
